About Me

I am a recently retired grandmother, dividing my time between Kissimmee, Florida and Cambridge, UK. I have been a diplomat, university administrator/lecturer, and instructional designer, among other things. I teach cultural intelligence online, write short fiction and poetry, and paint abstracts and landscapes, usually with acrylics.

I am picking up watercolors again for the beautiful sunsets and wildflowers around me and sketching the interesting old buildings in Cambridge and surrounding villages. I am also working on a novel based on my late mother's life.

I would like to thank my art teachers who brought me back to the brush after 30 years- Natalyia Gurshman and Rose Marie Prins. I would also like to give a shout out to writing teachers and coaches at the Writers Center in Bethesda, Maryland who helped me find my voice- Hildie Block, Meg Eden, Melanie Figg, Tara Fitzgerald, and so many others.
